#Ephratagram Photowalk hosted by Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce, Ephrata Merchants Association

and Amish Road Show


The Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ephrata Merchants Association are partnering with Seth Dochter, local photographer and creator of the Amish Road Show for the second #Ephratagram Photowalk.  The tour will take place on Saturday, October 24 from 1pm-4pm.  All interested photographers, local or visiting or those that have a passion for history and architecture are welcome to join us.  We will meet at the Ephrata Visitors Center, 16 East Main Street and embark on a guided indoor and outdoor excursion of some of the most historic buildings in the Ephrata Borough.  The walk will showcase a 100-year-old building where you will ride the oldest elevator in Lancaster County, travel to private areas of one of the more modern buildings in Ephrata, enjoy a  brief history on one of the oldest congregation’s  known for their colonial style building  and stained glass, visit one of the most extensive displays of the Cocalico area history and memorabilia and last but not least a brief stopover at a 235 year old inn and if you choose settle in for a hand crafted brew!  For specific on locations and additional information visit http://www.amishroadshow.com/october-ephratagram-photowalk/


All photos are encouraged to be posted on the #Ephratagram Photo Contest.  The contest runs from September 21st through November 2nd.  All photographs tagged #Ephratagram during this period will be eligible to win this year’s contest. The contest will conclude with a celebration of the winners and all participants on December 12th , 11am at the Ephrata Main Theatre!


Local judges will select the top 10 photographs, as well as five honorable mentions, which will be on display at the Ephrata Visitor Center at 16 East Main Street, Ephrata after the contest ends. The winning photograph will also be featured in the 2016 Ephrata Area & Beyond Visitor Guide, which will be distributed throughout Pennsylvania. The photographers of the top three entries will receive a gift basket filled with items from local Ephrata merchants and be featured on exclusive #Ephratagram merchandise for the holiday season. New this year is the “People’s Pic” award, the photo most popular with the public, which will be selected from the remaining top 12 photographs.
